Islamabad (PR):The 11th Begum Kulsum Saifullah Khan National Ranking Tennis Championships 2025, commenced today at PTF Tennis Complex.This tournament is being organized annually to commemorate the memory of late Begum Kulsum Saifullah Khan, mother of Senator Salim Saifullah Khan (Patron-PTF).Senator Salim Saifullah Khan, while sharing his views, said: "The tournament holds great emotional value for him and his family, as it revives fond memories of his late mother. I wish success to all participating players. Rashid Malik and Khurram Imtiaz clinch singles titles at ITF MT200 in Khao Lak
Lahore (PR): The Bank of Punjab–sponsored veteran tennis stars, Rashid Malik (60+) and Khurram Imtiaz (55+), captured the singles titles in their respective age categories at the ITF World Masters Tour MT200 Tournament, being played on the hard courts of the Robinson Hotel Khao Lak.In the Men’s Singles 60+ final, Rashid Malik delivered a commanding performance to defeat Switzerland’s Hannes Aeberhard 6-1, 6-1. Despite the straight-set scoreline, Malik was made to work hard as both players engaged in long baseline rallies, with Malik effectively using his serve as a decisive weapon throughout the match.In the Men’s Singles 55+ final, Khurram Imtiaz secured the title after receiving a walkover against Switzerland’s Oliver Marjanovic, who withdrew due to illness. Shayan and Rashid Depart for USA to Compete in Junior Orange Bowl
Islamabad (Sports News): Pakistan’s top 12 & Under tennis players, Mohammad Shayan Afridi and Rashid Ali, have departed for the United States to participate in the prestigious 64th Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship 2025, scheduled to be held in Florida from 9–17 December 2025.The Junior Orange Bowl is regarded as one of the most prestigious junior tennis tournaments in the world, attracting elite young players from across the globe. Entry into the event is strictly merit-based. Shayan Afridi earned direct entry into the main draw, while Rashid Ali received a main-draw wildcard from the Asian Tennis Federation in recognition of his outstanding performance throughout the year.Their qualification journey began in May 2025 when Pakistan was crowned Asian 12 & Under Champion, earning qualification for the Asian Finals held in Singapore, where the team secured 6th position. The players then progressed to the Intercontinental Championship in Kazakhstan where they finished 5th, further strengthening their credentials for participation in the Junior Orange Bowl.Another rising Pakistani star, Mikaeel Ali Baig, will also represent Pakistan in the 16 & under category, having earned his place through exceptional performances during the 2025 season.

Lahore (Sports News): A significant milestone in the development of tennis in Pakistan was achieved with the inauguration of the Long Beach Tennis Center USA at the Central Park Sports Complex under the Central Park Housing Scheme, during a grand opening ceremony held on Saturday.The event was organised by Urban Developers Group and showcased an international-standard sports initiative featuring multiple sporting facilities including tennis, cricket, padel courts, football, and badminton.The ceremony was graced by the chief guest, Mian Tahir Javed, Chairman of Urban Developers Group. Distinguished guests included Punjab Secretary Sports Mudassar Riaz Malik, guest of honor Sid Siddiqui, chairman and owner of the Long Beach Tennis Center USA, as well as special guests from the United States including Amir Rausal and Safder Qureshi. Renowned international cricket umpire Aleem Dar and several American coaches were also in attendance.The newly launched academy will operate under the supervision of foreign-qualified coaches from the United States, who will provide modern training techniques, fitness programs, and professional mentorship to young Pakistani players. Open trials will soon be conducted to identify skilled and promising athletes from across Punjab and beyond.
