ANRAKU, MEIGNAN SHINE AT FIRST SOUTH AMERICAN STOP OF IFSC WORLD CUP SERIES

Islamabad (Sports Desk):The IFSC Climbing World Cup Curitiba 2025 concluded Sunday, 18 May, at the Parque Parque Olímpico do Cajuru. It was the fourth stage of the IFSC World Cup Series 2025, and the second Boulder World Cup competition of the season. A total of 103 athletes from 22 nations participated.

Anraku Sorato of Japan won gold in the men’s Boulder event, securing his third World Cup gold medal in 2025 after the Boulder gold he won in Keqiao, China, and the Lead gold he won in Wujiang, China. Also on the men’s Boulder podium was France’s Mejdi Schalck, silver medal winner, and Narasaki Tomoa of Japan, bronze medal winner.

The women’s Boulder event was won by France’s Naïlé Meignan, who climbed on the highest step of the World Cup podium for the first time in her career. In 2024, Meignan won bronze in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, and silver in Prague, Czechia – both times in the Boulder discipline. Completing the women’s Boulder podium were Oriane Bertone of France in second place, and Camilla Moroni of Italy in third place.
