ISLAMABAD:-The hosts Zimbabwe beat West Indies by 35 runs in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup Qualifier match in Harare Sports Club, Zimbabwe on Saturday.

West Indies Captain wicketkeeper batter Shai Hope won the toss and elected to field first against Zimbabwe. Hosts batters made 268 runs and wasted their all wickets on the penultimate delivery of the innings. Sikandar Raza was the top scorer with 68 runs and hit 6 boundaries and a couple of huge sixes. Ryan Burl made 50 runs with the help of 5 fours and 1 six while skipper Craig Ervine smashed 47 runs including 7 fours. Keemo Paul claimed 3 for 61, Alzarri Joseph got 2 wickets and Akeal Hosein achieved 2 wickets for West Indies.

While West Indies could score 233 runs in 44.4 overs. Kyle Mayers was the top scorer with 56 runs, Roston Chase made 44 runs with four boundaries, Nicholas Pooran smashed 34 runs with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes. Tendai Chatara (3 for 52), Richard Ngarava (2 for 25), and Blessing Muzarabani (2 for 33) were successful bowlers for the winning side. Sikandar Raza was named the player of the match.
