Balochistan Mixed Martial Arts Association elects Mir Jehangir Lango its new chairman
Sports Bulletin Report Quetta (Pakistan):- Balochistan Mixed Martial Arts Association (MMA) has elected Mir Jehangir Lango as its chairman for the next term in a meeting that held at Pakistan Sports Board Quetta. According to Pakistan Sports Board, Sharafat Butt Vice Chairman, Agham Mohammad Mengal President, Agham Mohammad Noorzai Senior Vice President, General Secretary Rehmat Noorzai have been elected during the election process. Elections of Balochistan Mixed Martial Arts Association were held under the supervision of Assistant Director Sports Board Mohammad Arsalan at PSB Gymnasium. Jahangir Lango Chairman, Sharafat Butt Vice Chairman, Agham Mohammad Mengal President, Agham Mohammad Noorzai Senior Vice President, Abdul Bari Vice President, Female Vice President Farah while Haji Rehmat Noorzai was elected for the post of General Secretary. Expressing their views, Chairman Mir Jahangir Lango, President Agham Mohammad Mengal and General Secretary Rehmat Noorzai said that it was a great initiative to promote the Mixed Martial Arts sports across the province. All Pakistan and All Balochistan Mixed Martial Arts Tournament will be held in Quetta, the expected date of which will be announced in the next meeting. Jahangir Longo further said that all the associations of Balochistan should come forward for the promotion of sports. “As the players are being affected due to the squabble between the associations and the sports department. Balochistan government should ensure that facilities will be provided to the players and provide them sports opportunities so that the players can continue their sport with more diligence, “he concluded.
Taekwondo: Pakistani athletes to attend Training Camp in Iran

PSB hires two foreign coaches for national taekwondo players
Sports Reporter ISLAMABAD:-Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has hired the services of two foreign coaches to train the taekwondo players in the camp, which is going on in the premises of Pakistan Sports Complex aiming to upgrade the game skills of players. According to an official of PSB, Pakistan players will participate in the two international events including Asian Games 2022 and South Asian Games 2023 in Pakistan. "Two coaches one from South Korea and one from Iran have been hired to train players. We want to maximize our chances of winning the medals in taekwondo we are putting all resources to achieve our aim. As many as 52 players are taking part in the camp, “official added. President, Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF), Col (Retd) Wasim Ahmed Janjua told this reporter that one coach was hired by ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) while the services of other coach was provided by Korean government, Kukkiwon and Korean Embassy in Islamabad on the request of PTF. “Taekwondo is not part of Commonwealth Games 2022. However, it is part of Olympics, Asian Games, Islamic Games, Indoor Martial Art Games and Youth Games, “he concluded.
5 Dan Korean Master Taekwondo Poomsae Course
Ali Zafar KARACHI:-The 1st Combaxx Sindh Taekwondo Poomsae Course & Training Program will commence from April 14, 2022 at the Sindh Sports Board Complex, Nazimabad Karachi. According to an official, the 8-day long course will be conducted by internationally reputed 5th Dan Korean Master SEONG OH CHOI Kukkiwon 5th Dan/Kukkiwon, who has been especially invited to conduct this course in Karachi.  Around 50 athletes and 15+ Coaches/Referees from all over Sindh will take part in the course, as it is a certified course conducted by internationally reputed Korean Master, the players will be imparted important and modern skills of the game. The participants will be given certificates at the conclusion of this extensive course. The President of Sindh Taekwondo Association Kamran Qamar has thanked to Col Waseem Janjua President Pakistan Taekwondo Federation and Omar Saeed CEO PTF &  Combaxx Sports for all the support, collaboration and supervision. He termed this course as unique opportunities for players from across the province and said since Taekwondo is a recognized Olympic Sport, it is not provides opportunity to bring laurels for the country at national and international level but  this sports also builds strength, stamina and flexibility, it greatly improves ones overall fitness and well-being.
Taekwondo Federation elects Wasim Ahmed Janjua its president for next four years term
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD:-Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) has re-elected Lt Col (Retd) Raja Wasim Ahmed Janjua as its president for the next four years term, as the election of the federation held at 255, R A Bazar, Rawalpindi Cantt at Physical and Zoom Modes. The local residents of twin cities Rawalpindi and Islamabad physically attended the meeting at PTF Secretariat while Rizwan Ul Haq Razi, Associate Secretary of Pakistan Olympic Association attended the meeting on Zoom Mode as observer. The representatives of World Taekwondo Federation, Asian Taekwondo Union and Kukkiwon Headquarters, Seoul Korea also monitored the process. Taekwondo receives annually 2 million from PSB: Col Waseem
Khurram Shahzad ISLAMABAD:-President, Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF), Col (Retd) Waseem Ahmad Janjua has revealed that PTF gets Rs. 2 million grant from Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) once a year, as this amount is not enough to run the affairs of federation. While talking to this scribe during an exclusive sitting ex-army man added that without sponsorship sports could not be moved ahead at national and international level. “However, the taekwondo federation does a lot for the players to give them maximum national and international exposure and other support like equipment helmets, safeguards and gloves, which are vital for players to learn the basic skills of martial art, “he said. Wasim Janjua further said that he was appointed as manager with Pakistan Taekwondo Federation during the 9th South Asian Games 2004, which took place in Islamabad. “Later on, Brigadier Arif Siddiqui and General Arif Hassan guided me and I got the responsibilities as the secretary of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, “he further said. Responding to a question he said, “Pakistan joined the World Taekwondo Federation in 1977 after that PTF registered with the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) and Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) in 1982. When I joined the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, the conditions of the game were very bad. No one was serious with taekwondo. I did not give up and continued to work hard. Today, by the grace of Allah, PTF is the only federation in Pakistan that has won a bronze medal in the Olympic Qualifying Round and our athletes have achieved great success in international competitions, “he said. “I had the opportunity to attend a course in the United States in 2016 during which my thesis was "Promotion and Development of Taekwondo at Grass Root Level". It was a great experience. After completing the 45-day course, I worked for the promotion of this sport from the grass root level in the country. The development of any sport is not possible until this sport is started from the grass root level. PTF organized the competitions at Under 7,9,12,15,17,20 age group level, “he added. Waseem Janjua, while replying another question, said, “There are about 100 clubs registered with us in the country which are present in all the provinces. They bear their own expenses while the federation also provides food including Traveling Allowance (TA) and Daily Allowance (DA) for participation in the national and international events. We also provide helmets, gloves and jackets. There are 213 countries registered with the World Taekwondo Federation from all over the world. Asia has the best taekwondo players in the world in which Iran is number one. Taekwondo is an Olympic sport and Pakistan has not yet qualified for the Olympics but a Pakistani athlete won a bronze medal in the Olympic qualifying round. According to the rules, gold and silver medal winning athletes qualify for the Olympics, “he concluded.
Judo Championship: Pakistan Army win Men, WAPDA lift Women title
Ayaz Raza Afridi PESHAWAR (January 3, 2022):-Pakistan Army claimed the Men’s title with 7 gold while WAPDA lifted the women’s title with 6 gold medals in the 27th Men's and 10th Women's National Judo Championships that held Lala Rafique Sports Arena Peshawar on Monday. Pakistan Army grabbed seven gold medals and one silver medal in the individual event of the Men while HEC claimed two golds, two silvers and two bronze medals, WAPDA won one gold and three bronze medals and Navy came at fourth with two silver and three bronze medals. Balochistan won two silver and one bronze medal at 5th, Railways and Punjab got 6th position while KP-A of the merged areas took seventh positon and, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took 8th, Police got 9th, Islamabad, Sindh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan remained 10th position. Pakistan WAPDA won six gold medals Pakistan Army with two gold and two silver medals in the 10th Women event by taking the trophy, Punjab with three silver and three bronze medals took third position, HEC with three silver and two bronze medals got fourth position, Navy with four bronze medals, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with three silver and sixth bronze medals took sixth positon and, Balochistan got seventh, KP-A took eighth, Azad Jammu and Kashmir ninth, Gilgit-Baltistan, Police, Islamabad, Railways and Sindh 10th position. Hijratullah of KP in 81kg and Nadeem of KP in 90kg won bronze medals in women's competitions. Manahil Iftikhar of Army in 48kg' - Wapda's Shumaila in 52kg class' Wapda's Humaira in 57kg '-Wapda's Sonam in 63kg' Wapda's Banish Khan won gold medal in the category 'Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won the bronze medal in the 44kg class by Asifa Noor' In the mixed event, the competition was thrilling. Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khalid Khan was the chief guest on this occasion who also witnessed the team championship final. Taekwondo: KPK lift the title of National Championship with 9 golds
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD (December 27, 2021):-Khyber Pakhtunkawa athletes have won the title of the 2nd IGFC National Taekwondo Championship 2021 with 9 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals that concluded in District Tank on Monday. Gilgit Bultistan claimed second position with 3 gold and 5 bronzes while Waziristan got third position with 2 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronzes medals during the three-day top taekwondo fixture. As many 144 players from all over the country took part in the competition and 126 bouts were held in different weight categories. At the closing ceremony, Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Khan, Aamir Latif, RPO D I Khan Soukat Abbas and Col Sher Alam graced as chief guests and distributed the prizes among the top players. The conduct of this event was made possible with the keen interest of Brigadier Naiknam Mohammad Baig, Commander Sector South, Frontier Corps (South) KP, and whole hearted support provided by the South Asian President and CEO Combaxx Sports Omar Saeed as sponsors plays a vital role in facilitating the event.
