Islamabad (PR): The Executive Committee of the Islamabad Olympic Association (IOA) met here at Islamabad Club on August 2, 2025. President IOA Begum Ishrat Ashraf chaired the meeting.
During the session, the committee deliberated on several matters central to the strategic development and organizational strengthening of the IOA and its affiliated units. A major point of focus was the registration of the Islamabad Olympic Association with the Islamabad Sports Board, an essential step to formalize its status as the principal sports governing body in the federal capital and to facilitate institutional support for its upcoming programs.
The meeting also underscored the significance of Islamabad’s active participation in the 1st National Youth Games and the forthcoming National Games. Committee members exchanged insights and strategies to ensure that Islamabad fields highly competitive teams and achieves optimum performance outcomes. Plans were reviewed to streamline athlete selection, training, and logistical arrangements.
President Begum Ishrat Ashraf praised the commitment of the Executive Committee and emphasized the importance of unified efforts to elevate Islamabad’s standing on the national sports stage. She reiterated to provide all necessary support to athletes and officials in the build-up to these landmark events.
